Awards

Presented to alumni who have made outstanding contributions in the field of education. The recipient is selected by the education department.

An Alumni Master is a Doane alumnus who has mastered their chosen field and returns to campus to share their expertise with students.

Presented to members of the graduating class from each campus in recognition of consistent demonstration of superior performance in academic and co-curricular activities during their undergraduate careers.

To serve as an Alumni Trustee, a person should show involvement in the alumni programs, show consistent support of the college, have the means to give to the college, and have some expertise the Board can use.

Established in 1996, this award honors athletes, teams, and coaches for their achievements at Doane University. 

Presented to alumni (preferably graduates) who have distinguished themselves and Doane through outstanding achievement, professional accomplishments, community service, and their relationship with the college. This is considered the highest award an alumnus of the college can receive.

Presented to friends of the college who have made outstanding contributions to the field of education.

Recognizes an alumnus or alumni who has provided extraordinary service to forward the cause of Doane University through their volunteer efforts.

Presented to alumni for creative contributions, accomplishments, and leadership in scholarly pursuits and endeavors.

Presented to former Doane athletes who have distinguished themselves by outstanding service in their life's work.

Presented to alumni who have demonstrated lasting leadership to the communities of the Navajo Nation.

Given in memory of Paul Dean Kersenbrock ‘63, and will be presented to a worthy Doane alumni, who in the judgment of the Alumni Council distinguishes themself by extraordinary, unselfish dedication and service to others in their work and lifestyle.

Presented to alumni for outstanding achievement in music. The recipient is selected by the music department.

Presented to alumni and friends of the college who have shown extraordinary service and leadership in their communities.

Presented to alumni for their exceptional work furthering the language and culture of Navajo students and their families.

Presented to alumni and friends who have distinguished themselves by their service to the college.

Honors Doane graduates who are 35 years of age or younger for demonstration of and lasting commitment to the highest ideals and models of excellence exemplified by Doane University.
