Wiley Awards

Funding is annually available to provide recognition to deserving students in areas related to computing.  The purpose is to help promote the exceptional efforts of Doane students.  Examples of how funds might be used include an award item such as a plaque or award stipend.

Below you can browse past awards funded and access a nomination form. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

This award honors John O. Wiley, who graduated from Doane in 1957.  He dropped out of classes at Doane but then returned with the determination that he would obtain a degree from his beloved institution. John worked at Raytheon & Honeywell as a pioneer in the computer software industry.
