Hansen Interns
This elevated, unique scholarship opportunity for students who are passionate about growing as leaders. Such students can apply to be a Hansen Intern and receive up to a $7000 scholarship.
What We Are Looking For
- Students who are passionate about committing their time to leadership development in college
- Students who would accept only the Hansen Intern scholarship over an athletics or arts scholarship
- Those passionate about community service and mentorship
What Interns Do
- All Hansen Interns are also within the Directions Cohort and maintain
scholarship expectations for four years - Hansen Interns complete weekly office hours where they work on assigned projects and attend group meetings
- Attend Launch Leadership staff training and summer/one day workshops
- Support all HLP recruitment events and travel
- Complete career development appointments and attend programming to support career growth
- Complete our Service Learning 422 course
- Complete two different internship/shadowing opportunities during their time as an Hansen Intern
- Each year unique projects are assigned to Interns including, peer-led leadership workshops, Marketing & Social media work, Community engagement to increase volunteerism and organizing group bonding sessions
