The 30 Days of Service Award is presented to Doane students who make outstanding contributions to the Crete community and beyond through community service. Students who complete 240 or more hours of volunteer service over the course of their 4 years at Doane and record those hours on Helper Helper qualify for the 30 Days of Service award. The criteria for the award is based on the following calculation:
30 days x 8 working hours per day = 240 hours
Students who manage to achieve this incredible number of service hours in the community demonstrate many of Doane’s Principles of Effective Community Engagement, particularly an ongoing commitment to one or more service partners.
