Fall Orientation is a schedule of events designed to give you a solid experience during your first week at Doane University. Participating in Fall Orientation and Welcome Week events exposes you to people and programs that will enhance your Doane experience.
New Student Orientation programs for first-year students:
Actively participating in New Student Orientation is an important step during your transition to Doane.
During New Student Orientation, first-year Doane students will:
- get a feel for Doane’s campus and the Crete community
- learn about campus resources
- meet with their LAR 101 class and faculty member
- meet faculty, staff, and current students, including Orientation Leaders (OLs)
- participate in fun events, like Deck Your Den, Casselfest, Foam Party!
- learn what it means to be a Tiger
First-year student move-in: Saturday, August 10th from 12pm - 2pm
New Student Orientation begins on Saturday, August 10th and concludes on Tuesday, August 13th.
Classes begin on Wednesday, August 14th.
Transfer Orientation:
Transfer Orientation provides transfer students with their own unique experience
as they navigate the process of joining the Doane Community.
During Transfer Orientation, students will:
- get a feel for Doane’s campus and the Crete community
- learn about campus resources
- meet faculty, staff, other transfer students, and current Doane students, including Orientation Leaders (OLs)
- have the option to participate in fun events, like Deck Your Den, Casselfest, Foam Party!
- learn what it means to be a Tiger
Transfer student move-in: Saturday, August 10th from 12pm - 2pm.
Transfer students will receive specific information about the Transfer Orientation schedule from their student recruitment specialist and the New Student Orientation team before orientation weekend begins.
