Social Media Online Reviews

Students looking at colleges are increasingly going to various websites to read reviews from those who have gone before them. These reviews can make a noticeable impact on students far and wide. For this reason, we encourage you to take a few minutes to post a review (or many reviews) about Doane University and tell others about your experience. Your review could really make a difference in getting a prospective student to choose Doane! 

Here are a few sites that we know students are looking at, along with brief instructions on how to submit a Doane review:

1. Facebook
   1. Go to the Doane University and Doane University Alumni Facebook pages.
   2. Click on 'View Reviews' in the box on the top left of the page.
   3. Rate your school out of five stars.
   4. Explain your rating:
      1. What did you like?  What unique aspects does your school have to offer?
      2. Classroom/academic setting, social/campus life, athletics/extracurriculars, etc.
          
2. Yelp
   1. Search for Doane University on Yelp.
   2. Click the red button at the top of the page saying 'Write a Review.'
   3. Rate your school out of five stars.
   4. Explain your rating:
      1. What did you like?  What unique aspects does your school have to offer?
      2. Classroom/academic setting, social/campus life, athletics/extracurriculars, etc.
          
3. Google+
   1. On your computer, open Google Maps and make sure you're signed in.
   2. Search for Doane University.
   3. On the card that appears below the search box, click 'Write a Review.'
   4. In the window that appears, click the stars to score Doane University.  If you want, you can also write a review.
       
4. LinkedIn
   1. Search for Doane University on LinkedIn.
   2. Click the 'Recommendations' tab.
   3. Create a headline for your review.
   4. Explain what you like most about your school.
       
5. Unigo
   1. Search for Doane University.
   2. Click the 'Write a Review' button.
   3. Preliminary ratings on certain aspects of your school.
   4. Explain what your college has meant to you.  Describe your experiences.  You can include aspects such as what you liked the most, classroom engagement, involvement opportunities, and other social opportunities.
       
6. Campus Explorer
   1. Search for Doane University.
   2. Click the 'Reviews' tab.
   3. Click the 'Write a Review' button.
   4. Preliminary ratings on certain aspects of your school.
   5. An overall summation of what you think of the school. Include things such as what you liked the most, memorable experiences, and/or tips for prospective students.
   6. Academics:  Describe your school's classes/programs, professors, workload, class size, etc.
   7. College Life:  Describe the social atmosphere, clubs, organizations, campus safety, athletics and weekend activities.
