Peter and the StarcatcherBy Davie Barry and Ridley Pearson Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels, the play was conceived for the stage by directors, Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, and written by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. |

The Flickby Annie Baker WINNER! 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Drama In a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, three underpaid employees mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35 millimeter film projectors in the state. Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty aisles, becoming more gripping than the lackluster, second-run movies on screen. With keen insight and a finely-tuned comic eye, The Flick is a hilarious and heart-rending cry for authenticity in a fast-changing world. |

R.U.R.by Karel Capek R.U.R (Rossum's Universal Robots) kicks off our legacy show in the spring. By the Czech writer Karel Capek, this play introduced the word robot (from the Czech robota, meaning forced labor) to the world in 1920 and examines what it is to be human and robot, and what it means to love. This show started an important concept in modern storytelling and sci-fi, the idea of the robot. We think you'll really enjoy seeing its origins, and all the quirky characters and fancy costumes along the way. |
