Bio: Miguel Vargas; Former Plant Worker; From San Pedro Soloma, Guatemala
Summary: Miguel Vargas came to the United States alone as a young boy. After the death of both of his parents, Miguel was left with nothing. He didn’t have adequate housing, food to eat, or shoes to wear. He decided to leave his home country and emigrate to the United States where he could find a job and make a living. Miguel eventually made his way to Crete, Nebraska where he worked for many years in a meat packing plant.
