Reporting Options
Some Doane employees, like the Public Safety office and Residence Life, are mandatory reporters of crimes that occur. There are also referral and confidential employees. Referral employees include general faculty and staff members, like DEI and Student Experience staff. Referral employees may be informed of a crime, but instead of reporting to Title IX, will give resources to the person who disclosed. Resources may include formal reporting options or informal support services. Confidential employees will not share disclosed information with any campus entity unless in case of an exemption. Confidential employees include the counseling center staff.
