If you are looking for an on-campus job please view available opportunities at https://doane.edu/jobs

Step 1: Complete the Required Paperwork

Please complete the necessary payroll paperwork as soon as possible, incomplete paperwork will delay your paycheck. Bring your completed paperwork to the Human Resources Office.

Each job you hold on campus requires a Student Employment Hire Form completed by you and your supervisor and submitted to Human Resources.

  • This is required each academic year so that Financial Aid can be awarded appropriately.
  • If you work on campus in the summer, a new form is required for each job, each summer.

If this is your first job on campus, you will also complete and submit the following paperwork to the Human Resources Office. Please pay particular attention to the Form I9 requirements listed below under Step 2.

Step 2: Complete Form I-9 in person at the Human Resources Office

Form I-9 must be completed in the presence of a member of Doane's HR department and all required documents received before you can start working. We are required to view and copy documentation that verifies your identity. We will need to view the actual documents, not pictures. A list of acceptable items can be found here. Please provide one document from List A or two documents, one each from Lists B & C, respectively.

International students:
  • Please remember that F-1 students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year - this limitation is part of your F-1 visa guidelines, and exceeding the limit places your status in jeopardy.
  • You must possess a United States Social Security number - if you don't have one, please reach out to the International Programs office for assistance.
  • Additionally, please know that regardless of what identification you choose to present for Form I-9 we will need you to bring your unexpired Passport and your current Form I-20.

Step 3: You are ready to start working on campus!

Watch for an email from Human Resources with information about entering your hours in Kronos.
