Nexus Scholars Program  Application

Nexus Scholars Program is a peer network that provides a multi-year leadership experience to prepare the next generation of difference makers. The Nexus Scholars experience facilitates students' personal and professional success by engaging them in a community-based internship in the Division of Community and Government Relations, mentoring opportunities, and completing the 21st Century Leadership course. Students admitted to the Nexus Scholars Program receive scholarships that renew yearly.

The Nexus Scholars Program recognizes and supports students who will contribute to a thriving and connected university community while making a positive impact on campus and beyond. The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership and service. Nexus Scholars value teamwork and shared purpose and working alongside peers, mentors, and community members to strengthen bonds and create meaningful change.

Application Timeline:

  • First Application Period Opens: November 1st
  • First Application Period Closes: December 1st
  • Notification By: December 12

 

  • Second Application Period Opens: January 1st
  • Second Application Period Closes: February 28th
  • Notification By: March 27
