Discussion Groups
Small discussion groups that meet monthly to discuss timely teaching topics. Each year, CETL Directors will choose a theme for these discussion groups, and the focus is to generate discussion amongst faculty across disciplines.
Faculty Seminars
Providing a forum to hear colleagues from across the university present their research and teaching. Faculty wishing to submit a proposal should email, [email protected] with a short description of the talk, including a title. Each seminar is approximately 15-20 minutes, with time for questions.
Summer Portfolio Workshop: Developing a Professional Faculty Portfolio
Each summer, CETL co-sponsors a portfolio workshop with members from the Promotion and Tenure Committee. The goal of this workshop is to provide advice and examples of faculty portfolios for faculty going through the review process. Any faculty members going through the review process may attend the workshop.
Faculty Pedagogical Workshops
The Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning conducts an annual workshop in August on the Crete campus for all faculty members. Workshops are periodically delivered in other formats or held on other campuses at other times of the year. Below is a listing of previous faculty workshops.
