CASSEL OPEN AIR THEATRE - is one of the most beautiful sites on campus. It's where Doane holds it's annual commencement as well as other events during the year. Many graduates have come back to Doane to get married in the beautiful tree lined outdoor amphitheater. It is in the heart of the campus and overlooks the Sally Smith Memorial Fountain and Doane Lake.
ENGRAVED LEGACY BRICKS AND PAVERS are a great way to commemorate someone or something special and to leave a lasting tribute on campus. They line the outer sidewalk perimeter of Cassel and are a lasting tribute that can be enjoyed for years to come. Bricks can be ordered at any time but are installed only once a year in time for Commencement in the spring.
- BRICKS - $150 - 4-x-8 bricks personalized and engraved in up to three rows of 16 characters per line.
- PAVERS - $500 - 1 ft x 1 ft pavers personalized and engraved with up to five rows of 16 characters per line. A graphic can be added.
Children and grandchildren can hunt for their parent's or grandparents' brick and families can see their name immortalized on a paver. The engraved bricks and pavers truly leave a mark on campus, just as Doane has left its mark on us.
TIMEFRAME
New engraved legacy bricks and pavers are installed every spring. To have one installed for Spring Commencement - Registration and payment need to reach us by March 31st to ensure enough time for the production, engraving, shipping, and installation.
ORDERING
Payment is required on or before the registration deadline. Indicate "brick" in the memo of check.
PAVERS - Up to 5 lines to text with 16 character spaces per line is available. A graphic or clip art can also be added.

FOR ATHLETES - CODY FANNING MEMORIAL WALL - at the stadium
This wall is designed to recognize Doane athletes who have passed. The Cody Fanning Athletic Memorial Wall can be found on the east side after entering the south entrance of Doane's Memorial Football Stadium and Track. It features names engraved in granite at the cost of $250 each.
