Game Kick-off - 1 p.m. at Al Papik Field (Doane Tigers vs. Dakota Wesleyan Tigers)
It's a party in the parking lot! Get ready for the Homecoming Tiger Football game by heading to the ultimate Tiger Tailgate. Fresh Ideas will be serving food in the Field House parking lot until 2 p.m. The Doane Tigers take on the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers at 1 p.m.

Host Your Own Tailgate
- Tailgating spots in the Communications Parking Lot will open at 8 a.m. on game day. Any cars left in that lot from midnight until 8 a.m. on game day will be relocated and may be ticketed or towed.
- Some spaces are pre-reserved for affinity groups, student orgs/sports, offices/departments that make their intention to tailgate known in advance. (Email us if you would like to discuss a space or have a question.)
- Unreserved tailgating spots are first-come, first-served.
- Tailgates may not take up more than two (2) parking spaces.
- No through traffic will be allowed. The north side of the Field House parking lot, located at 13th Street, will be closed, as will the drive south of the lot. However, the typical through lanes between and around parking spaces must stay clear in case of an emergency. Do not park any vehicles in this area.
- Safety and Doane staff will be on patrol in these areas to ensure there are no underage drinkers and that everyone is acting responsibly and respectfully.
- The official tailgate will conclude at 2 p.m., but tailgating may continue throughout and after the football game, including during the Fifth Quarter gathering from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
- All tailgating shall end at 6 p.m., at which point the lots should clear out.
- Alcohol possession and consumption are permitted and are restricted to those 21 years of age or older only in this designated tailgating area.
Game Day Fan Parking and Tailgating Policies
For Homecoming 2025, the Fuhrer Field House parking lot is the area for alumni, students, family, friends, employees, and parents. See the parking options and policies. Due to the construction of the Performing Arts Center, the typical Communications lot area is currently restricted.
I-80 CONSTRUCTION TO NOTE:
If traveling westbound on I-80, keep a sharp eye on the exit signs—construction and temporary lanes make the Crete/Doane Exit (388) easy to miss. Be ready, it comes up fast!
If traveling eastbound on I-80, you’ll have no trouble. The usual Pleasant Dale/Crete sign for Exit 388 is still clear and easy to spot.
