Tiger Tailgate Information

Tailgating - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Communications Parking Lot / Stadium Drive (Road located behind football field) 
Game Kick-off - 1 p.m. at Al Papik Field (Tigers vs. Morningside)

It's a party in the parking lot! Get ready for the Homecoming Tiger Football game by heading to the ultimate Tiger Tailgate. Numerous food stations will be set up on Stadium Drive between the football field and the Communications Building Parking Lot. The Doane Tigers take on the Morningside Mustangs at 1 p.m.  

Host Your Own Tailgate
  • Tailgating spots in the Communications Parking Lot will open at 8 a.m. on game day. Any cars left in that lot from midnight until 8 a.m. on game day will be relocated and may be ticketed or towed.
  • Some spaces will be pre-reserved for affinity groups, student orgs/sports, offices/departments that make their intention to tailgate known in advance. (Email us if you would like to discuss a space or have a question.)
  • Unreserved tailgating spots are first come, first serve.
  • Tailgates may not take up more than two (2) parking spaces.
  • The west parking lot Entrance/Exit and all driving lanes between spaces must stay clear in case of emergency. Do not park any vehicles in this area.
  • Safety and Doane staff will be on patrol in these areas to make sure there are no underage drinkers and everyone is acting responsibly and respectfully.
  • The official tailgate will end at 2 p.m., but tailgating may continue throughout and right after the game. All tailgating shall end at 6 p.m., at which point the lots should clear out.
  • Alcohol possession and consumption are permitted and are restricted to 21 years of age and older only in this designated tailgating area.  
Game Day Fan Parking and Tailgating Policies

The Communications Parking Lot is the official tailgate area for alumni, students, family, friends, employees, and parents. See the parking options and policies.  

Sober Tailgaters are invited to the Sober Tailgate space hosted by Student Health and Wellness!
