Alexander Brandenburg ’25 (Columbus, NE)

School Activities: I am a senior music education and vocal performance double major. This past school year, I was involved in Doane Choir, Jazz Unlimited, and Doublewide in the music department. I was also the Greek Council President, Merch Chair and Greek Council Representative for Alpha Pi Epsilon fraternity, Student Congress Secretary, and Vice President of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
Future Plans: After graduation, I plan to pursue a master's degree in music education and then a doctoral degree in conducting. I hope in 10 years (or so) to be directing a collegiate ensemble.
Interesting Fact: I have a twin brother named Matthew who's in the U.S. Army National Guard. I never plan to skydive—no matter what—because, during my freshman year at Doane, someone went to the Crete skydiving place and lost their life in an accident.
Pets: I have an English Bulldog named Bella, a boxer mix named Buddy, and two cats named Sunshine and Gretel.
Favorite Snack: My favorite snack of ALL TIME is Kettle Cooked Jalapeño chips; they are crunchy, spicy, and honestly the best snack to grace this wonderful planet.
How I Spend My Free Time: I like to arrange music and practice my instruments in my free time (piano, voice, tenor saxophone, and learning cello!)
Siblings: I have two brothers, Matthew Brandenburg (21) and Randy Brandenburg III (23)
Tiger Tidbit: I chose to come to Doane during my sophomore year of high school because I had some of my best teachers graduate from this institution. I've watched the Doane Choir perform since my 8th-grade year and knew that it was a choir I wanted to be a part of. I also had such an amazing experience on my tour when I first visited that I knew immediately this was the school for me. The reason I have stayed is the outstanding support I have received from the faculty, and the opportunities I have had through my involvement have been unforgettable.

School Activities: I am a double major in special education and elementary education. I am the Tiger Women's Tennis Captain, a student ambassador, a member of the TRIO program, a first-gen student, a Tiger on Tour, member of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) honor society, involved in student teaching, and serve as the fundraising chair, alumni chair and academic chair for Omega Psi Theta Sorority.
Future Plans: Attend Graduate School and become a special education teacher—currently unsure where.
Interesting Fact: My dog and I share the same birthday (December 13th) and we both turned 21 the same year (2023).
Pets: I have two dogs, Dakota Blue (a Springer) and Jasmin (a mini Aussie).
Favorite Snack: Salty and Sweet, but any day chocolate and caramel.
How I Spend My Free Time: Crafts (drawing/painting), sleeping, tennis, hanging out with family and friends, and card games.
Siblings: I have one brother, Riley Schwarzkopf (19).
Tiger Tidbit: I came to Doane for a few reasons. It had my major and my sport which is what I was looking for in a college. The major selling point for me was the campus, I stepped foot onto campus and loved the environment/community it had. I looked at others school that were larger and in the cities which made me realize I am not a city girl at all. Being at Doane has been the best decision in pursuing my career and making life long friendships.

Jacob Eacker ’26 (Lincoln, NE)

School Activities: I am an agribusiness major with minors in communications and business administration. I am a Student Congress senator, the Recruitment Chair for Greek Council Exec, the Social Chair for Alpha Omega fraternity, a TRIO/First-Gen student, am involved in the Kindness Project, DULSA, Ag-Club, Tigers on Tour, and serve as a Tiger Peer Mentor, LAR-101 teaching assistant, Orientation Leader, and worker in the Academic Success Center. I'll also assist with Adventure Zone this summer!
Future Plans: I've been looking into the seed business for opportunities but overall I'm still exploring my interests and what I truly want to do. However, I will be doing four years of school and then being done.
Interesting Fact: I'm scared of peacocks due to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha allowing an open peacock policy. They're modern-day velociraptors that should not be allowed to roam freely!
Pets: I have a dog named Rudy.
Favorite Snack: Cheez-it's or Rice Krispies, one is sweet and the other is salty.
How I Spend My Free Time: I absolutely love music, so the majority of my time is spent listening to music.
Siblings: I have two sisters, Jenny Eacker (25) and Caitlyn Eacker (32).
Tiger Tidbit: Originally I came to Doane University for baseball but eventually decided to step away from the sport my sophomore year. The reason I love Doane is because of the opportunities it offers, and I never thought I would be in the positions I'm in now. Everyone here is welcoming and supportive that it just builds an amazing community with a promising future. Doane University has the best community!
