Active Minds is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that encourages students on campuses and in communities to raise awareness around mental health. Active Minds at Doane University is one of over 450 chapters in the United States. The goal of this organization is to raise awareness on mental health issues that so commonly affect students on college campuses, such as depression, eating disorders, PTSD, etc. We aim to help remove the stigma associated with mental health through events and conversations. Active Minds at Doane University hosts multiple events throughout the year, such as working with partners in the Student Affairs Division to host Suicide Prevention Week, Stress Less Week, National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and so much more.
