Professional Bio:
Mandi Laib currently serves as the Assistant Director of Leadership and Service within the department of Career, Leadership, and Service. In this role, she primarily works with the Hansen Leadership Program, Relay for Life, Doane Serves, and New Student Orientation to name a few. She is returning to Doane as alumni from 2023 where she received her BA in history and was very involved on campus. Since then, she has been studying higher education administration and student affairs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and plans to earn her master’s in Spring 2025. During her studies, Mandi has had the opportunity to partake in skill building assistantships and internships, such as being the graduate assistant in UNL’s Center for Academic Success and Transition and the Associate for New Student Programs at Jefferson University: East Falls in Philadelphia, PA. Through these experiences, she has developed a passion for working within higher education and curating environments where students feel empowered.

Personal Background:
Mandi was born and raised in Southern California before moving to Colorado. When making trips home to see her family, she enjoys skiing and going on trail rides with the horses. Mandi is always looking to try new things, but some of her consistent activities include climbing, softball, and listening to music! During the winter months, Mandi is eagerly awaiting the warmer weather to enjoy some camping trips with friends.
