Kathleen Ohlman oversees the music education program at Doane University. She holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in music and education from Concordia University-Seward and is currently completing a PhD program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ohlman brings 19 years of K-12 vocal, instrumental, and general music teaching into the college music education classroom. She came to Doane from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she held a Sr. Lecturer position while working on her degree.
Ohlman has conducted several high school and community choruses on regional and state programs and is active as an adjudicator, clinician, and mentor. She serves as the Public Relations/Advocacy board member to the Nebraska Music Education Association and the Nebraska Representative to the National Association for Music Education’s Advocacy Leadership Force.
