Professional Bio:
Eden Diehl serves as the Assistant Director of Campus Engagement - Fraternity and Sorority Life at Doane University, where she is in her second year working within Student Affairs. In this role, she oversees Doane's eight local Greek organizations, which together boast a rich history spanning over 140 years. Eden works closely with chapter leadership to enhance recruitment strategies, develop comprehensive new member education programs, and foster a thriving Greek community.
Eden’s journey into higher education was inspired by her own undergraduate experiences in student leadership, where she served as a campus ambassador, held community service roles, and led within her sorority, Kappa Delta (Pi Chapter). These opportunities sparked her passion for creating intentional leadership experiences that profoundly shape a student’s engagement and personal growth.
Before joining Doane, Eden honed her skills in leadership development and student mentorship as a high school educator and Student Council advisor for seven years. During this time, she guided her students to become the top fundraising organization for Make-A-Wish in the state, emphasizing collaboration, skill development, and community impact. She also served as a Chapter Advisory Board member for Kappa Delta, helping guide collegiate members in their personal and organizational growth.
Eden is passionate about empowering students to take ownership of their leadership journeys and preparing them for success beyond university life.

Personal Background:
Hi, I’m Eden! I was born in Superior, Nebraska, but grew up in Northbranch, Kansas - a tiny town of about 12 people right on the Nebraska state line. Growing up in this small, tight-knit community taught me th importance of connection and belonging, which has guided me throughout my career - from my roots being an educator to now working in higher education in student affairs.
When I was 12, my twin sister, Ivy, and I moved with our mom to Hickman, Nebraska, where I attended Norris Public Schools. There, I was able to pursue my love of music through show choir, marching and concert band, and theatre, and ran for the cross country team. This early foundation of balancing multiple commitments and having a variety of passions help me now as I support our very busy students at Doane, guiding them to navigate their own passions and areas of involvement.
At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I joined Kappa Delta sorority and served in many different leadership roles across campus - University Ambassadors, Dance Marathon, and volunteering with the Girl Scouts solidified my love for helping others find their place and purpose, a passion I now see reflected in the enthusiasm of the incredible students I get to work with. With three sisters who were all in sororities (Tri Delta at K-State and Alpha Xi Delta at UNL) and a mom who is now the housemother for Gamma Phi Beta at UNL, fraternity and sorority life has always been a part of my world. That lifelong connection inspires me to support my students to raise the bar for excellence in their Greek experience at Doane.
