Professional Bio: 
Darcy serves as the Counseling Director at Doane University, providing therapy to students, promoting mental health awareness, and providing mental health training when needed. Darcy began as a counselor at Doane in August of 2022 and started as Director in July of 2023. Darcy is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner starting her therapy work with children in 2010. Darcy has experience working with all age populations both in agencies and in the private practice setting however, has found her passion in working with college aged students.

Master of Arts in Counseling- Doane College-2010

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, minor in psychology-Doane College-2004

Professional Memberships/Advising Roles:
Darcy is an advisor for the campus student group, Active Minds which aims to reduce the stigma of mental health. Darcy is a member of the American Counseling Association and a facilitator for Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) training.

Personal Background:
Darcy is a Doane alum and excited to be back at Doane. Darcy lives with her husband, three children, and dog on an acreage. Darcy enjoys being outside in the summer boating and participating in half-marathons. Darcy loves cheering on her children in their activities and wears red for the Kansas City Chiefs and Husker Volleyball.
