Beth Jacobson brings over two decades of experience in higher education access and academic support, with deep roots in TRIO programs at both the 6-12 and university levels. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in English and German from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Beth joined Doane University in 2023 as Executive Director of Academic Support Services and Director of the TRIO Student Support Services Program, where she oversees a wide range of services including the Writing Center, Disability Services, peer tutoring, academic coaching, developmental coursework across all Doane campuses, and the TRIO Student Support Services program. Beth also teaches one section of LAR-101 every fall semester. She is passionate about removing barriers to student success and creating equitable, inclusive environments where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Personal Background:
Beth grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and has called the Elmwood-Murdock area home for the past twenty years. She and her husband are busy raising four kids — Grace, Brandt, Cash, and Hazel — plus their furry fifth child, a Miniature Poodle and Great Pyrenees, Rudy. Outside of Doane, you'll find her cheering at her kids' activities, tending to her growing plant collection-step into her office, and soaking up time with family. She loves connecting with students and families, so don't be a stranger — stop by the Academic Success Center and say hi!
