Through lecture and lab experience, students will demonstrate an understanding of the molecular structure and function of biomolecules, as well as chemical transformation, energetics, and basic regulation of central metabolic pathways. In the lab, students will gain experience with common methodologies for investigating proteins.
Note: For successful completion of this online Biochemistry course, it is recommended that students are familiar with General Chemistry I, II, and Organic Chemistry I, or their equivalents.
